What is Athletes to Business?
Athletes to Business is an organization dedicated to helping America’s finest companies connect with highly motivated and diverse student-athletes eager to begin a full-time business career or find a challenging internship.
Why student-athletes?
Executives have long known that the traits and characteristics student-athletes develop through high level athletic competition translates perfectly to the business world. They realize that it takes an extremely talented and dedicated individual to manage life both in the classroom and on the playing field. Studentathletes understand how to manage their time, compete under pressure, play as a team and reach organizational goals.
Why can’t companies find student-athletes themselves?
Student-athletes balance a rigorous schedule. They practice, travel, compete and study. This leaves them virtually no time to participate in traditional recruiting events like career fairs and campus interviews. When companies are on campus looking for talent, student-athletes just aren’t available. Even companies with highly developed and aggressive college recruiting programs have virtually no success finding student-athletes.
