What is Athetes To Business?
Athletes To Business is an organization dedicated to helping graduating student-athletes successfully manage the challenging transition from the “playing field” to the “real world”, find meaningful employment and navigate a successful career.
Why was Athletes To Business created?
Research clearly shows that making the transition from competetive athletics to the working world is a difficult, frustrating and oftentimes emotionally painful experience for many graduating athletes. The primary reason for this is, unlike most traditional graduating students, athletes are focused on practicing and competing in their sport well into their senior year. This significantly reduces the time available to participate in career fairs, campus interviews and programs offered through the Career Center. Athletes To Business was created to fill this void. By providing additional resources, direction and support to the student-athlete, Athletes To Business helps make the transition a smooth, positive and rewarding experience.
What does Athletes To Business do?
Athletes To Business works in conjunction with your College Athletic Department and Career Center to provide a program of personalized coaching to each graduating student athlete, with the ultimate purpose of helping them secure rewarding entry-level career opportunities in their chosen field.
How does Athletes To Business prepare student athletes for success?
Through our many years of corporate business experience, we have developed a very specific and organized strategy for each student to follow in order to find the best vocational opportunities. The student athlete first meets with one of our knowledgeable and experienced Career Coaches to discuss the student athlete’s career goals and employment objectives. Together they develop a Career Game Plan (link) that lays out the specific activities and timelines leading to the right career opportunity.
Does Athletes To Business actually help me get a job?
Absolutely. Athletes To Business has developed a long list of corporate clients who are actively seeking high quality, talented individuals to fill open positions. Athletes To Business will present these opportunities to the student athletes, and if they are interested introduce their credentials to the potential employer and arrange the interview.
Does Athletes To Business guarantee me a job?
No. Athletes To Business does not guarantee employment. What we do guarantee is that we will work diligently and professionally with every candidate in our program to help them during their transition to the business world.
What type of companies and industries does Athletes To Business work with?
All types. Through years of experience and long term relationships, Athletes To Business has developed an extensive list of business organizations looking for high quality talent to fill their open positions. These companies range from Fortune 500 Corporations to small privately owned businesses. In addition, our professional corporate counselors are always looking for new clients with new positions to be filled.

The companies Athletes To Business works with looks for highly talented individuals with a diversity of backgrounds, experience and degrees. The positions available are generally entry-level in a wide variety of industries and disciplines.

There is no cost to the student athlete be participate in the Athletes To Business program.
What are the benefits of Athletes To Business for my Athletic Department?
College and University Athletic Departments always have the best interest of the graduating student athlete in mind. Without question, they do as much as they possibly can to help their athletes make a smooth transition from their program to the outside world. However, with today’s increasingly limited budgets, plus time and personnel constraints, it’s not always easy to accommodate and prepare every student. Athletes To Business works alongside and in conjunction with the Athletic Department and Career Center to help the graduating student athlete prepare for and start life outside the college campus.
What is the cost of the program to the College or University?
There is no cost to the college or university to participate in the Athletes To Business program.
Does Athletes To Business work only with graduating student athletes?
The basic focus of Athletes To Business is working with graduating student athletes. However, we are anxious to help anyone who feels they can benefit from our program. These candidates are admitted on a case-by case basis.
